CAPE COD to NEW YORK
This article was published in the Multihull Yearbook 2001 and is
repeated for the first time on the internet.
It shows that not all goes to plan and that mechanical failures
can be expected. It also reminds us that we have sails and can
use them.

New
Magazine Replaces Old
The old Multihull International magazine is no more. In it's
place two of it's regular contributors Mark Orr and Malcolm
Turner have set up the new glossy Multihull
Review.
This international magazine is produced in Southampton, England.

Multihulls
are everywhere and gaining popularity daily.
Families charter a comfortable cruising catamaran for the first
time and racers move on from their monohulls
At the beach cat scale the thrill of sailing fast through the
waves as the boat hums should excite anyone.
At the 60' trimaran class we can watch the speed and grace as
these "birds" just fly over the seas at speeds
not thought possible for yachts a few decades ago.
Whatever you interest, thank you for entering this site, along
with other truly global surfers.

stories.

Dear Friends,
The Lapita Voyage has been competed. 4000Nm of arduous sailing, but it was worth it. Jamie and I returned from the Solomon Islands just over a week ago and are still recovering from the climate and culture shock.
I have edited a small piece of my video footage of the arrival in Anuta. It is a very special memory and I hope you will all enjoy it too. It was my first editing of video footage and I have not added any voiceover or music as I felt it was enough in itself. I have published it on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agV0c7FbTYw so everyone can enjoy it and show it to your friends.
Best wishes to you all,
Hanneke
